He and my grandmother, Margaret Kent Ferguson, who was also a licensed funeral director, worked together for many years serving area families in their time of need. My father, Charles J. Ferguson followed in their footsteps by becoming a licensed funeral director in 1958 along with my mother, Betty Burns Ferguson who became licensed in 1985. Growing up in the funeral industry has taught me the importance of continuing the family tradition of dedicated and compassionate service. I decided to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer and joined the family business in 1986. My wife, Paula Thomas Ferguson became licensed in 1998, and we work closely together carrying on four generations of quality funeral service.
